Material Handler

Job Description

A manufacturing company for premium labels is seeking a material handler who understands Job Tickets and layouts to produce the correct product of the highest quality. The candidate will understand and execute plan schedules accurately and promptly to effectively maximize throughput. The role requires working closely with all associates to coordinate workflow and meet performance metrics at an average or greater level. Responsibilities include completing required documentation accurately and promptly, safely operating material moving equipment, assisting in maintaining equipment for optimal operation including adjustments and preventative maintenance, correctly entering information into systems for job tracking and payroll, and disposing of waste materials into proper storage containers with required documentation. Compliance with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (e.g., GMP, HAACP, BRC) is mandatory. The candidate must interact and behave professionally, treating all associates with respect and maintaining the company code of ethics. Daily housekeeping efforts are required, along with other duties as assigned.

This is a fully on-site position in Fullerton, California.

Work Environment

A manufacturing site with 150+ employees. The environment includes loud machinery, requiring the use of hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes. A back safety belt and steel-toed shoes are mandatory. No jewelry is allowed. The job is structured in shifts: (A Shift: 3AM - 3PM, Week 1: Sunday-Tuesday, Week 2: Sunday-Wednesday), (B Shift: 3PM - 3AM, Week 1: Sunday-Tuesday, Week 2: Sunday-Wednesday), (C Shift: 3AM - 3PM, Week 1: Wednesday-Saturday, Week 2: Thursday-Saturday), (D Shift: 3PM - 3AM, Week 1: Wednesday-Saturday, Week 2: Thursday-Saturday).
