SUMMARY Water and Air Research, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated professional that independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard professional techniques and procedures related to the assessment and remediation of petroleum contaminated sites. This individual will work independently on small projects, and assist on larger, more complex projects; as well as takes responsibility for planning and executing work assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and implements project plans and schedules; reviews project accounts; assigns, oversees, and evaluates project staff; and communicates with clients; ability to multitask is imperative.
• Creates budgets, designs scope of work, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, produces moderately complex designs, and may conduct presentations.
• Manages, coordinates, and reviews fieldwork of technicians and junior staff; may perform fieldwork to include sampling monitoring wells, overseeing the installation of monitoring wells, screening soil samples, and overseeing remediation system installations.
• Evaluates data associated with various projects for use in defining extent of contamination and makes recommendations for developing feasibility studies for possible remediation and performs analysis of key data.
• Drafts documents, or portion of documents, for projects and proposals including maintaining and updating plans, permits and SOPs

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related science field
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Experience with project management.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Geologist (PG) certification highly desired.
• Experience with the FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program highly desired.
• Proficiency in assessments, data analysis, and report writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
• Travel will be dependent on project demands.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record required.
