Robert Half Network Engineer in Gainesville, Florida
Description
We are excited to offer a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Network Engineer in the Gainesville, FL area. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the deployment and support of major enterprise n-tier information systems. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and deploying complex, secure, and highly available LAN/WAN/Cloud data and communications solutions.
Responsibilities:
Deploy and support Microsoft Windows and Linux server operating systems, including system hardening, troubleshooting, and recovery.
Oversee the deployment and support of Microsoft Windows server services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, Internet Information Services (IIS), DHCP, DNS, Terminal Services, Hyper-V Clustering, and File Services (DFS, FTP, etc.), Exchange, etc.
Manage and support virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, VMWare, Nutanix, traditional iSCSI, and hyperconverged solutions.
Deploy and support databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
Apply comprehensive understanding of network services and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, HSRP, etc.
Demonstrate proficiency with Cisco Systems IOS/NX-OS and a solid knowledge of enterprise networking and telephony infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Implement network performance, reliability, and security services, including firewalls, proxies, and load balancers.
Exhibit working knowledge of major enterprise n-tier information systems.
Develop and maintain skills in deploying, managing, and supporting systems like Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), etc.
Requirements
Cisco CCNA Certification is required.
Experience with Cisco Routers is necessary.
Familiarity with Switches is essential.
Proficiency in Firewall management is desired.
Strong problem-solving skills are a must.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
