Responsibilities In this position, you will: Oversee the NIST Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate asset data, equipment hierarchies, and preventive maintenance schedules, while analyzing performance and trends. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and other campus staff to integrate CMMS effectively across the entire asset lifecycle. Provide training and support to end-users on CMMS functionality and best practices, continuously evaluating and improving processes for operational efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance efficiency and compliance with safety, regulatory standards, and industry codes. Coordinate with IT and vendors to implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring the system meets evolving organizational needs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 (ZA-II at NIST) level. Specialized experience is defined as: Maintaining asset data integrity, equipment hierarchies, and preventive maintenance schedules within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Generating and analyzing CMMS reports and KPIs to inform asset lifecycle decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities. Training staff to ensure seamless integration and effective use of CMMS across the asset lifecycle. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
