Wastequip Administrative Assistant in Galt, California

Description

Hourly Rate range: $21.00 - $24.00 Based on experience.

Confab Mfg Co LLC has an immediate opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support our Galt, CA manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will support the Plant Manager by working closely with plant management as well as production staff to meet customer and company requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review timeclock to ensure all time is approved and entered correctly. Enter codes for any tardiness or absences and makes notes accordingly

  • Enter requests for time off in Time Clock and track accordingly on PTO Balance spreadsheet to ensure no one goes over -24 hours and to help let them know how much they have left at any given time and for the rest of the year

  • Enter any PTO in TC, if employee called in or was late (per attendance policy) also track accordingly in PTO Balance Spreadsheet.

  • Review attendance points on a weekly basis and notify Plant Manager and Supervisor when employees need to be disciplined.

  • Distribute paychecks (weekly)

  • Order Supplies for Office and Maintenance, Check and distribute mail

  • Create Purchase Orders & Create PO log and send to AP (weekly)

  • Make sure all PPE is available for any visitors

  • File Invoices (weekly)

  • Enter Paint Emissions (daily)

  • Maintain SDS binder

  • Arrange Safety Training (monthly)

  • Scan all Safety Paperwork to the Portal (monthly)

  • Oversee and work with shop supervisors to adhere to all Safety Policies; Complete and send out Incident Rate Reports

  • Advise Plant Manager on all updates to CAL/OSHA Guidelines

  • Manage all Hazardous Waste collection and manifests

  • Go over new Benefits and make sure all employees turn in in timely manner to HR (annually)

  • Welcome and direct all interviews to appropriate Supervisor for interview

  • If applicable send in Signed Offer letter to Recruiting

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Onboarding for all new hires

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an administrative role or related position

  • Experience, 2+ years in a manufacturing or service environment

  • High level of competency with Microsoft Suite/Word/Excel/ processing, ERP computer systems (Dynamic 365 – Preferred), and email.

  • Must be technically savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems with limited training

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality

  • Associates or Technical Degree preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Preferred

  • Prior experience working with HR – Preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with leaders
