Roll Clamp Operator
1st Shift 6am - 2pm Monday - Friday
Pay: 18.50/hr.
Job Summary:
The Roll Clamp Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a roll clamp forklift to handle, transport, and load/unload various materials, primarily rolls of paper. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
1st Shift: 6am – 2pm Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling: Operate roll clamp forklifts to move, stack, and store rolls of material in designated areas.
Loading/Unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on roll clamp equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of materials.
Independent Work: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing tasks effectively while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Documentation: Complete necessary documentation for material transfers and deliveries as required.
Other Duties: Perform other job duties assigned by the supervisor to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience operating roll clamp forklifts in warehouse.
Certification: Valid forklift operator certification is required.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.
