Robert Half Technical Accounting Manager in Gardner, Massachusetts
Description We are on the search for a Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in Gardner, Massachusetts. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the industry. As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will be involved in facilitating an upcoming audit, managing the transition from a local CPA firm to a Big 4, adjusting the financial year end, and overseeing a $200M company with 15 global entities.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and manage the upcoming audit process
• Oversee the transition of accounting services from a local CPA firm to a Big 4
• Adjust the financial year end from June to December
• Manage a $200M company with 15 global entities
• Apply auditing skills to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with various teams for effective financial management
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
• Address financial inquiries and resolve issues promptly Requirements • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Accounting Manager or similar role in the financial sector.
• Proficiency in auditing and ability to conduct detailed financial audits.
• Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to strategize and solve complex financial issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Detail oriented certification such as CPA or CMA is desirable.
• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
• Well informed in current financial subjects, tax laws, money market, and business environments.
