Job Title: Farm Labor Contractor
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Labor Contractor to join our exceptional team in Garnett, KS. In this role, you will provide care to on-site animals and support scientific discovery, making a positive impact on a global scale. Responsibilities
Feed animals daily and provide care as needed.
Bleed sheep up to 8 hours/day for a minimum of 3 days/week for diagnostic purposes.
Administer routine immunizations and treatments as directed.
Provide basic feed and upkeep for animals on a rotational basis.
Perform routine maintenance on animal care facilities and equipment.
Assist with repairs of buildings, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Operate farm and construction equipment and machinery.
Report safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills
General labor experience.
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to walk approximately up to 2 hours a day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Equivalent experience to a High School Diploma or GED.
Related farm or mechanical experience preferred.

Work Environment
Farm located in Garnett, KS. 4x10 day shift, Monday - Thursday, 6am-4:30pm with overtime available. The role involves working outdoors, using hand and power tools, and operating farm and construction equipment. Safety is a priority, and reporting safety hazards is required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $45760.00/hr.
