Overview
The EU Open Banking platform engineering team is looking for a lead platform engineer to help deploy and support our cloud strategy and platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud native technologies, highly motivated, technically curious, an eliquent speaker, and possesses the ability to lead large technical projects.
In this technical leadership position, you will:
· Be responsible for implementing cloud native solutions with security, sustainability, scalability and high availability in-mind.
· Partner with SRE, platform engineering, distributed systems and architecture teams to support, and execute on our Cloud Platform based in Kubernetes.
· Support and manage AWS networking, VPC, direct connects and transit gateways in AWS.
· Support and manage networking appliance devices such as Palo Alto.
· Administrate kubernetes clusters and the CNCF components within.
· Help define our cloud strategy and roadmap for our platform.
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
· Expertise in AWS, with ideally advanced knowledge in AWS networking.
· Experience managing large Kubernetes clusters using kOPS, EKS or Rancher. Ideally also have expertise in CNI solutions such as Calico.
· Advanced experience in related field, including advanced experience in delivering secure solutions in Cloud Native environments is preferred.
· Intermediate experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
· Ideally intermediate to beginning experience with programming in languages such as Golang, Nodejs or Python.
· Expertise and experience working within Git flows and standard development practices and CI/CD systems.
