International Union of Painters & Allied Trades District Council 4 is currently accepting applications for Apprentice or Journeyperson Commercial Taper/ Drywall Finishers.
Perfect looking walls owe their looks to great drywall finishing. If it is not done right, even the best wall covering will not hide uneven surfaces and other flaws. As a drywall finisher/taper, you will prepare unfinished interior drywall panels for painting by taping and finishing joints and imperfections.
No experience? No problem! Our apprenticeship program offers you the chance to earn while you learn through training classes and employment with drywall contractors. You will learn every aspect of drywall finishing, including the tools, materials and procedures. After completing your apprenticeship, you will be an expert in preparing walls so smooth, you could practically skate on them.
