Finger Lakes Health CALL CENTER OPERATOR in Geneva, New York

  • POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Under the supervision of the Director of Security, operates a Meridian I Telephone System console, performs duties for a 24-hour answering service, paging system, and emergency response center. Carries out general clerical duties. Provides exceptional customer service in a couteous and professional manner. Greets customers consistent with Healing Environment standards.

  • High School Education

  • Preferred:

  • Business or Office assistant degree

  • LICENSE:

  • PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

  • WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred:

  • Experience as a switchboard operator

  • SKILLS:

  • Minimum:

  • Requires a sensitive and reassuring approach to patients.

  • Demonstrated ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner, handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Ability to perform multiple functions during stressful/busy periods in a calm and professional manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Preferred :

  • Experience dealing with patients and/or emergency situations

  • Salary Range: $17.14-$18.75
