ManpowerGroup Operations Manager in Georgetown, Kentucky
Opportunity for an Operations Manager to join Adient's automotive seating plant in Georgetown, KY. This position will be responsible for Metals and Foam operations.
The Operations Manager manages daily production and potentially associated functions, which could include engineering, maintenance, and quality in a medium organization sized plant, or manages all of the daily production function and reports directly to the plant manager in a large organization sized plant. Incorporates best-in-class practices to increase productivity and improve efficiencies.
Responsibilities
The Operations Manager will provide support to all plant operations/production departments to include production, quality, cost and safety.
Assist in the development of budgets, analyze variances, and coordinate yield tests.
Monitor operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve operation or processing issues.
Prepare recommendations as needed for continuous improvements in production processes, method, and equipment.
Assist in establishing production goals and budgets; monitor production and costs to ensure that efficient and cost-effective methods are utilized.
May be involved in developing or implementing production tracking or quality control systems, analyze production, quality, preventative maintenance, or other operational functions to detect production issues.
As directed will evaluate and resolve personnel issues as needed; assist in the training, counseling, and evaluation of employees.
Ensure all safety standards are observed and always maintained.
Required experience:
8 years + of related experience
Degree Preferred
Automotive Experience
Metals (GMAW) experience highly preferred and foam experience a plus.
Positive Customer Satisfaction experience
Problem solving experience
MUST HAVES
Automotive 5-10 years or combo of auto and manufacturing
Customer Safety Finance Employee relations experience
5-10 years of leadership/management experience
Experience managing- 100 people or more
Employee engagement skills- someone who can motivate and align the team
Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Excellent Communication skills
Flexibility with shift schedule if issues arise
