Operational Sourcing Lead

Location: Waukesha/Germantown WI area

Hybrid/Remote

The Operational Sourcing Lead is responsible for managing the supplier base to ensure security of supply, compliance to quality and regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement on service, costs, OWC, and sustainability. Leads Sourcing initiatives related to Running Business to secure supply of products to customer’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing tactical, operational, and transactional sourcing tasks for direct raw materials.

  • Create, maintain and track purchase orders.

  • Maintain vendor master data.

  • Create a maintain PIR’s and OA’s.

  • Work with accounts payable personnel to follow up an ensure timely invoice payment and assist in reconciling invoice and receiving transactions discrepancies.

  • Supports and assist in the onboarding process of new suppliers and raw materials.

  • Acts as a first level of escalation for Purchasing in case of non-conformance and/or poor performance of a supplier.

  • Close, harmonious liaison with all stakeholders to keep their needs in mind and to keep stakeholders informed of market conditions, delivery dates, and status of purchase orders.

  • Help sourcing search for new suppliers, goods, and services as required.

  • Record supplier non-conformances and follow appropriate corrective actions per procedures.

  • Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality, while reducing costs.

  • Routing contracts for signatures by business and track contract compliance and coverage.

    You Bring:

  • A four-year college degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Food Sciences, Commerce, or other disciplines relevant to the Food Industries.

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain.

  • Candidate should be well organized, structured and be able to communicate at all levels throughout the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and expedite effectively with vendors utilizing effective verbal, written and analytical skills.

  • Previous experience working with SAP or other ERP system

  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
