The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor position is a leadership role in which you will schedule, coordinate, direct and supervise the daily activities of maintenance crews and contractors involved in plant maintenance, preventive and shut-down activities.
SALARY RANGE: $83,750 - $138,150 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure maintenance work is planned and accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effectively manner.
Ensure that employees comply with all BHC safety rules, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
Initiate and supervise the completion of electrical maintenance projects and work orders to meet site objectives.
Ensure effective planning, daily work schedules, job assignments, monitoring and evaluating work performance, analyzing and resolving work problems.
Coordinate the accomplishment of daily and weekly work schedules and communicate with all applicable departments (operations, maintenance, accounting, and engineering).
Initiate changes as necessary to maintain efficiency of both the maintenance personnel and the organization as priorities change with focuses on maximum productivity.
Participate in daily and departmental meetings.
Manage work order backlog at approved level.
Evaluate and manage resource needs for the maintenance department.
Participate in the budget process for maintenance Department.
Train and develop maintenance personnel.
Prepare outage reports and supervise outage jobs as assigned.
Prepare and provide reports and maintain documentation such as environmental, work orders, material requests, performance contacts, accident reports, attendance reports, preventive maintenance and overhaul work reports and other logs.
Maintain equipment to support outlined availability targets for each unit.
Ensure quality control on electrical assignments.
Support maintenance optimization efforts:
Predictive maintenance program
Preventative maintenance program
Optimize reliability efforts (minimize repeat failures).
Communicate with operations and engineering daily to ensure the needs of the plant are being addressed.
Maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, contractors, community and business leaders, peers, and management.
Teamwork is essential to this position.
Lead by example to promote and encourage employee safety and wellness.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience in electric operations and/or electric maintenance is required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of safety codes and company policies and procedures.
Demonstrate ability to plan, organize and direct work in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to effectively prioritize and direct multiple projects concurrently.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office and various specialized software.
Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreement.
Respond to after-hour and weekend plant outages or emergencies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously (67% or more) required to: stand, stand and bend forward, walk, bend, climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, maintain hand and eye coordination, maintain hand and foot coordination with grasping of hands, hear, smell, talk, work at elevated heights, and have visual acuity to operate machinery and equipment. Employee is frequently (34-66%) required to: balance, move hands in repetitive motion, kneel, move and extend neck, reach above and below the shoulder, and use a respirator. The employee may occasionally (less than 33%) be required to: sit, and bend forward while sitting. Employee must be able to operate job related equipment and tools. Must be able to routinely perform this work for an average of 8-12 hours per day and occasional extended hours as necessary. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is continuously required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Work environment: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors subject to sometimes high temperatures. Must also be able to routinely perform work outdoors in sometimes inclement weather with moderate to high noise level. Worker may be subject to hazards including variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working in places of height, or close quarters (i.e., crawl spaces, small enclosed rooms, narrow aisles of passageways), as well as maneuver in, over, or around obstacles. Worker may be subject to vibration, such as oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. Must be willing to occasionally travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
