We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing project management of complex Electric Transmission or Distribution projects. Primarily these projects will include transmission line or substation reliability projects but can also include load driven projects such as line rearrangements and replacements, interconnect projects, substation expansions, new transformers, line terminal projects, and capital upgrade projects.

The successful candidate will ensure that the project results meet requirements and provides timely and accurate information and status updates to management and internal and external customers. Responsible for complex scope, cost development, complex permitting, work plans and environmental studies.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage total lifecycle of project from conception to final completion.

• Complete projects safely, on time, and on budget.

• Ensure coordination between project teams including Engineering, Permitting, Construction, Operations, external customers, and other functional groups.

• Work with SOC to set up outages as required using iTOA

• Track project costs and maintain accurate monthly and yearly projections in CPM.

• Monitor project schedules using SAP.

• Update project information systems as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Electric T&D Projects Manager I: 5-6+ years demonstrated experience in project management, engineering, construction, electric transmission, and relevant technologies

  • Electric T&D Projects Manager II: 7-8+ years demonstrated experience in project management, engineering, construction, electric transmission, and relevant technologies

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and in project area.

  • Ability to develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.

  • Ability to represent the project and the Company in public forums.

  • Strong team building skills.

  • Effective negotiating skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.

Preferred Disciplines: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Project Management Certification preferred.
