Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in the Healthcare industry, based in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role involves assisting the collections team, processing medical billing, and handling claims. This is a short term contract employment opportunity that requires a strong understanding of medical collections work.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the collections team in managing and processing medical bills

• Handle medical claims with accuracy and efficiency

• Familiarize with medical collections work and understand the details of billing and claims

• Monitor customer credit accounts for any delinquent payments

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries

• Process customer credit applications efficiently

• Use skills in Medical Billing, Medical Claims, and Medical Collections to perform tasks effectively and efficiently. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing

• Proficiency in handling Medical Claims is required

• Experience with Medical Collections is a must

• Must have a thorough understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations

• Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently

• Knowledge of medical billing software and electronic medical records is essential

• Excellent data entry skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Should have problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
