Fortive Corporation Facilities Maintenance Manager in Glenwood, Illinois

Seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Maintenance Manager at Fluke Health Solutions, located in Glenwood, Illinois. In this role, you will lead a team of maintenance technicians to oversee maintenance for operations and facilities. The Maintenance Manager aims to minimize downtime and optimize production processes through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee a team of maintenance and facility technicians with a commitment to upholding rigorous safety standards and their capability to proficiently handle various maintenance tasks.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to optimize the performance of our facilities and equipment.

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent downtime.

  • Determine the root causes of equipment failures and develop effective solutions to minimize future occurrences.

  • Work closely with teams from different departments to effectively implement new equipment installations or upgrades.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment performance, repairs, and costs.

  • Manage the maintenance budget to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or a similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

  • Extensive knowledge of effective maintenance methods, including strategies for prevention, repair, and upkeep

  • Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.

  • Proven track record to handle budgets and control maintenance costs.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.

  • Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering background.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery and equipment noise.

  • Must be available for on-call duties and emergency response outside regular working hours.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 40 lbs. as needed.
