The Global Sr.Medical Director, GU Cancers is an integral member of GU Medical community. The Global Medical Sr.Director serves as an expert in the disease area) and leads execution of evidence and insight generation, interpretation and dissemination activities. This role will primarily focus on medical pre-launch and launch preparation in bladder cancer.
The Global GU Cancers Sr.Medical Director :
Partners cross-functionally with medical teams, health and value functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities.
Collaborates directly with country medical teams to understand major unmet medical needs and medical environment including HCP and patient perspective, regulatory and access dynamics at the country level and integrate needs and insights to co-create a global medical plan.
Supports evidence generation activities including independent research, clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
Manages internal data interpretation and alignment activities
Leads evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange
Leads global launch preparation in collaboration with country medical, commercial and health and value colleagues
REQUIRED SKILL SET:
Demonstrates deep data and disease area expertise in GU Cancers (RCC, bladder and prostate cancer)
Fluency in written and spoken English required
Very strong communications and relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
- Leading effectively in a matrix
A minimum of 10 years industry experience required, including experience within medical affairs
Launch experience at a country, regional or global level required
Global medical affairs experience preferred
International experience a plus
Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
