Responsibilities
Dedicated Vulnerability Management Analyst to join our cybersecurity team
Responsible for reviewing known exploited vulnerabilities within specific IO system boundaries
Understanding asset and vulnerability exposure risk prioritization, and maintaining a robust vulnerability management lifecycle
The role involves prioritizing and taking action on vulnerabilities within each IO system boundary and ensuring cybersecurity gaps are addressed through thorough analysis and threat reporting
Key Responsibilities:
Vulnerability Review and Analysis:
Conduct detailed reviews of known exploited vulnerabilities within specific IO system boundaries
Analyze vulnerability data to identify potential risks to system integrity and security
Prioritize vulnerabilities based on asset exposure and risk assessments
Vulnerability Management Lifecycle:
Maintain a comprehensive vulnerability management lifecycle that includes identification, prioritization, remediation, and monitoring of vulnerabilities
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified vulnerabilities within the IO system boundaries
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective vulnerability remediation
Cybersecurity Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct thorough cybersecurity analysis to identify potential threats and security gaps within the assigned system boundaries
Generate detailed threat reports and provide actionable insights for improving system security
Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
Risk Prioritization and Action:
Prioritize vulnerabilities based on the criticality of assets and potential impact
Develop and execute action plans to address high-priority vulnerabilities
Ensure all actions taken are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders
Partnership and Collaboration:
Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed in a timely and effective manner
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance overall security posture
Participate in security audits and assessments to verify the effectiveness of vulnerability management practices
Qualifications
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred
Proven experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity analysis, and threat reporting
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscape, and vulnerability management frameworks
Proficiency in using vulnerability management tools and platforms
Excellent analytical
Education:
Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, systems, business, or related scientific /technical discipline and 5 years of experience
Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (15 years total)
Clearance:
Moderate: Tier 2S (Standard MBI)
Location:
100% Remote, USA
Monday - Friday (7:00 AM- 3:00 PM CST Time)
Pay Range:
The pay for this position ranges from $55,730 to $89,500
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses
