ob Description Tomorrow.io's Space & Sensors team is responsible for the development of unique RF-based sensing systems, such as radar and sonar, from architecture through implementation. The team is also responsible for the development of corresponding spacecraft and constellations in support of Tomorrow.io's Operation Tomorrow Space, which will collect data to be integrated seamlessly into our existing forecasting and modeling systems, revolutionizing global weather intelligence. We are looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer who loves the process of designing and delivering high-quality, reliable, scalable software products that will have a direct impact on Tomorrow.io's strategic positioning in the market. As a contributor within the Space and Sensors software team, you will play a critical role in the execution of complex, multidisciplinary development programs. Your challenges will include high-availability, interprocess communication, high data volumes, algorithms, data visualization, and exceptional user experience. What you'll do: Design, implement, and test C++ software for configuration, command, control, and visualization applications used to power Tomorrow.io's Space and Sensors radar technology. Work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team to define and implement features to support Space and Sensor software. Participate in design and code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback. Plan and estimation of software tasks. Improve your skills by keeping up with the latest software tools, techniques and processes. Contribute to the company's engineering culture by implementing best engineering practices. What you bring: 6+ years of programming experience in Linux C++ TCP/IP sockets Hardware interface experience CMake build tools C++ threads B.S. Engineering, Computer Science or related field, MS is a plus Experience with different Linux distributions Excellent debugging and diagnostic skills UI experience Qt Framework/Qt Creator Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Run-time code profiling Unit test / static analysis / linter tools OO Design / Design Patterns Agile Scrum Atlassian tool set Proven record of providing reliable, maintainable, sustainable, production-quality code and distributions Technical team leadership experience (nice to have)
