Description
We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The role is based in Golden Valley, Minnesota. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with managing vendor inquiries regarding payment remittances, which will involve researching and responding to vendor emails. Responsibilities:
• Manage vendor inquiries regarding payment remittances through research and response via email.
• Utilize accounting software systems, including Great Plains, IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel to manage accounts payable functions.
• Handle check processing and data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.
• Resolve discrepancies in accounts payable.
• Maintain strong communication skills, both through phone and email, to effectively manage vendor relationships.
• Leverage experience with accounting functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline accounts payable processes.
• Maintain a keen attention to detail to ensure accurate payment and record-keeping.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Experience with IBM AS/400
• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Check Processing
• Proficient in Data Entry
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies
• Previous experience in the Manufacturing industry
• Proven ability as an Accounts Payable Specialist
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information.
