Overview Tecolote Research Inc. is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team in Goleta, California. Responsibilities Prepare and process vendor invoices, check requests and make entries in Deltek Costpoint Ensure all invoices are coded to the correct GL account, department, and project number Resolve invoice discrepancies and answer vendor inquiries Subcontractor invoice processing Update Purchase Order information in the Asset Management System Analyze and reconcile General Ledger financial information Reconcile company bank accounts Electronic Vendor Filing System Special projects as required
Skills Required 3+ years Accounts Payable experience, college-level coursework in Accounting a plus Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) Deltek Costpoint and Unanet experience a plus Knowledge of GAAP principles, FAR/DFAR regulations and Cost Accounting Standards a plus Committed to accuracy with a strong focus on attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, monitor workflow, and maintain cooperative working relationships
Education High School Diploma Required
