Responsibilities include ensuring that | | education programs meet grant guidelines and compliance | | requirements. | | | | Duties and Responsibilities: | | | | - Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided | | in the education area with a focus on members ages 5 to 18 years | | old. | | - Provide daily supervision of ages 5 to 12 years old at Brady | | Center location and weekly supervision of ages 13 to 18 at Teen | | Center. | | - Provide fun, valuable, and imaginative academic enrichment | | programming | | - Coordinate programming needs to support homework assistance, | | educational activities, computer training, educational theme | | weeks, career development, and other programs that facilitate | | learning of health and life skills | | - Manage daily activities of direct reports and volunteer staff | | - Utilize Youth Development Strategies to support and enhance our | | members self-esteem and support their learning | | - Maintain the health and safety of all children in assigned area | | by assuring that members understand and follow the behavioral | | expectations and that the facility requirements are met | | - Ability to uphold the organizations mission and values | | - Other duties as required | | | | | | Required Qualifications: | | | | - Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience | | - Minimum of two years experience in a role supervising staff and | | school-aged children in a group setting | | - Strong verbal and written communication skills | | - Demonstrated competence working with youth | | - Experience working with youth with special needs and/or requiring | | mental heath services | | - Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, | | specifically Microsoft Office suite | | - Reliable transportation, safe driving record, active drivers | | license, and automobile insurance is required. | | - Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of | | time, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, | | bending at the waist, and ability to lift, carry, pull or | | otherwise move objects up to 20lbs. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pay Range:$19.23 - $20.19 per hour | +------------------------------- ---------------------------------------+
