Job Title: Operator Technician

Job Description

Seeking 2nd shift Operator Technicians with a pathway into becoming a Maintenance Technician. You'll start as a Finish Technician and will be responsible for setting up machines and responding to machine malfunctions within a specific department. Your tasks include setting up the finishing machines, troubleshooting, repairing to an extent, and involving a Maintenance Technician when necessary. You will partner with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and repair issues, aiming to grow and advance your skills. Additionally, you will educate and guide other operators to avoid repetitive machine errors and monitor all equipment within the department. Effective communication is essential for responding appropriately to radio calls. The equipment includes hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, spray guns/hoses/booths, conveyors/elevators, ovens, sealers/sanders, belts, pulleys, brushes, motors, bearings, valves, rollers, etc. The role requires mechanical aptitude, a basic understanding of electric systems, the ability to work overtime, and logical thinking for problem-solving.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Goshen, Indiana.

Work Environment

2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11:30pm. $2/hr Shift Premium for off-shift! Designated work areas can reach up to 105*F during peak summer months, and there may be paint/stain fumes. PPE is provided and required for specific equipment work.
