Macro Magnetics CNC Programmer in Grand Haven, Michigan
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be motivated to set-up & run 3 axis Okuma CNC Vertical centers. Will be responsible for creating, modifying and setting up & running single piece as well as short run production.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate CNC Okuma machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Design and build proper fixtures for accurate tooling.
- CAD/CAM software knowledge
- Maintain documentation of programming changes and updates per the quality system.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functions.
- Machine set up to complete full cycles and fabricate large numbers of parts.
- Supervise the CNC machine while executing tasks and make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare with requirements.
- Daily checks and pre-maintenance procedures.
- Read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings & basic understanding of GD&T, etc.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols & maintain a clean working environment

Qualifications
- 2 years'+ experience as a CNC machinist.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining preferred
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, instructions and production lists and wire run lists required; the ability to read schematics a plus.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English.

Compensation
The salary for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, with time and a half for overtime (40+ hours).
