What You Will Do

  • Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant inspection functions in a manufacturing environment

  • Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required

  • Complete classroom theory, OFT and certification examination as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications

  • Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings

  • Responsible for signing-off product inspected

  • Re-certification required at interval specified by Pratt & Whitney qualifications

  • Perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues

  • Must be able to obtain NDT Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications

  • Must be willing to work any shift, including an alternate work week. Overtime may be required

  • Hours are Monday – Thursday / 0530-1600

Qualifications You Must Have

  • 2-year technical degree in a Non-Destructive Testing program OR Level II Certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection

  • In absence of a technical degree, must have 4 years of work experience in Non-Destructive inspection

  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident registration is required, as only U.S. persons are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge FPI Inspection systems

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience following quality procedures

Pratt & Whitney in GRAND PRAIRIE, TX is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).   • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
