Job Description
The 3rd shift janitor position for ESFM is a very active role! 3rd Shift runs from 10pm - 6:30am Sun - Thurs with an average of 0-5 hours of overtime a week.
This candidate will be cleaning the Industrial Facility in multiple areas weekly.
Those areas include offices, hallways, cleanrooms, staircases, storage rooms, restrooms, and café.
The duties will consist of dusting, sweeping, mopping, operating a floor scrubber, and replacing trash bins.
The facility does have an elevator, but that is only for equipment use and your transportation is up and down steps.
The cleanrooms require a lot of cleaning and maintenance.
You must suit-up to enter the cleanroom, and this includes a body suit, glasses, and hood.
In the cleanroom, you will be using a backpack vacuum, sterile mop, and bucket to clean countertops and floors.
The department also utilizes an event called the 'Purge' for cleaning the cleanrooms.
Weekly Purges include cleaning the countertops, Monthly Purges include cleaning the walls, and Quarterly Purges include cleaning the ceiling.
You will also be asked to replace the sticky mats located in front of the cleanroom doors.
The Café cleaning requirements include cleaning the microwave, fridges, and countertops.
PPE: Closed-toed shoes and khakis or nice pants.
Important Skills
1+ years of Cleaning experience
Comfortable with Backpack Vacuum
Open to Wearing Proper Lab Equipment
Good attitude and personality
Dependable/Consistent
Comfortable wearing no make-up, perfume, nails, or jewelry
Work Environment
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Working inside an Industrial Facility with 2 Floors, including labs, office space, restrooms, and storage space.
Working mainly independently, but could be working with partners to attack certain cleaning tasks.
All cleaning equipment and protective equipment for cleanrooms will be provided.
