Job Description
The Controls Technician/Lead Electrician interfaces with our Sales Team to help gather costs on projects through the quoting process. Once the job is awarded, the Controls Technician works with the Project Manager to meet critical milestones for hardware approval, material ordering, panel build, runoff, and install. The Controls Technician ensures that equipment is electrically installed correctly and meets customer expectations.
Responsibilities
Interface with the Sales Team to gather costs on projects during the quoting process.
Work with the Project Manager to meet critical milestones for hardware approval, material ordering, panel build, runoff, and install.
Ensure equipment is electrically installed correctly and meets customer expectations.
Perform wiring, schematic reading, PLC programming, conduit installation, panel building, and material handling.
Essential Skills
Electrical wiring
Reading blueprints, including Autocad Electrical
Conduit installation
Panel building and machine wiring
Debugging and programming automation systems
Work Environment
This position operates on a 1st shift. The role requires 25%-30% travel, so a good driving record is essential. The hourly rate is between $25-$27.
