POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for providing direct support to the Xtend Business Intelligence manager. This includes assisting with and executing various Xtend Marketing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Initiatives. In addition, this position works closely with the Xtend Business Intelligence Manager and CU*Answers Asterisk Intelligence staff to maintain, improve, and sell existing and new Xtend services to credit unions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work to maintain and support data-driven decisions throughout the credit union industry, proportioning a data driven culture in order to transform the way credit union organizations operate, forecast, communicate and deliver. The BI Analyst shall provide the Services and Deliverable(s) as follows:
Analyzes existing practices to isolate areas ripe for improvement or enhancement.
Serves as a client facing liaison between Credit Union Professionals, Credit Union Data, and Analytical tool offerings.
Assists the Business Intelligence Manager in driving marketing and sales efforts for the Data Analytics business.
Participates in client education programs with an emphasis on the utility of data, analytical product offerings, and industry trends in data usage.
Maintains a professional network and rapport for future new product releases, ala carte projects, and consulting engagements.
Assists in analyzing Xtend's Corporate data, identifying opportunities and threats, supporting management with trends and forecasts, and offering data insight as delegated by the Business Intelligence Manager.
Provides service as an available analyst to the benefit of our clients and industry by establishing best practices, education, consulting, Ala Carte Services, and recurring analytical services.
Assists in coordinating client education as it pertains to CU*BASE data analytics specific to marketing and sales with special attention paid to relevant dashboards.
Assists in the development of current toolset of products and consults on tool and product improvements.
Maintain a positive contribution as a member of the Xtend team and complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives.
Delivering project results and educating clients via Web, Video, or otherwise.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or equivalent is required.
Two-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience is required.
Extensive knowledge of credit union operations, regulations and procedures, accounting, and balancing functions.
Thorough working knowledge of CU*BASE software.
Superior research and analytical skills to track and predict trends.
Ability to deliver software support to any client personality style.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including classroom training experience and expertise.
Must be able to collaborate with executives, creative teams, research and development, and product development teams.
Excellent negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills
Proficient in standard office software applications, especially Microsoft Excel (MS Office)
Must be willing to take calculated risks and manage expectations of both internal development teams and potential and existing customers.
Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
