As the next engineer manager licensed 14, you would be responsible for:

• Overseeing TSC efforts in managing department assets regarding safety and operational issues, ensuring alignment with region and statewide policies and guidelines.

• Maintaining alignment with the other TSCs, region offices, central office, and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

• Reducing user delay costs through actions to reduce and eliminate delays caused by incidents and inclement weather. Improving freeway freight operations through the use of enhanced technologies and efficient motor vehicle movement.

• Optimizing TSC efforts for safety, mobility, reliability, and accessibility, as well as participating in various region operations-focused business teams. This position acts as a supervisor and is responsible for ensuring the technical and personal development of employees, interns and various other development/mentor program staff and their commitment to customer service.

• Overseeing TSC maintenance operations efforts, ensuring through staff coordination that TSC and region office staff are aligned with other regions and statewide polices and guidelines.

Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering

Experience

Five years of professional experience equivalent to an Engineer, including three years equivalent to an Engineer P11; two years equivalent to an Engineer 12, Engineer Manager 12, or Engineer Manager-Licensed 12; or, one year equivalent to an Engineer Manager 13, Engineer Manager-Licensed 13, Engineering Specialist 13, or Engineering Specialist-Licensed 13.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
