Cascade Engineering Truck Driver / 2nd Shift in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Scope of Position

Cascade Engineering has an opening for a Truck Driver that will be delivering within the Grand Rapids plant campus (2 mile radius).This position will be responsible for shipping, receiving, switching trailers and some production/handling support. 

*Location: *Buursma Plant (4950 37^th^ St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512)

Shift Hours: 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday from 2pm -10pm

Target Pay: $17.69 - 24.33 / hour (plus $1.00 for shift premium)

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for utilizing all equipment, including forklift, and performing all tasks in a safe manner
  • Participates on cross-function teams
  • Maintains finished goods warehouse organization
  • Loads and stacks shipments per traffic schedule
  • Ensures accuracy of shipping request and pre-shipper records
  • Notifies scheduling of inventory levels and discrepancies
  • Understands and practices basic FIFO - Inventory Rotation
  • Utilizes MODs - production management tool - for scheduling and inventory placement

Requirements

High school diploma or GED or PFC Level B with one year related experience

Must have CDL-A Driver's License (no restrictions)

Able to operate a manual transmission

Flexible, trustworthy, balances courage and consideration, team focused.

Strong math and communication skills 

Good customer relations and interpersonal skills

Understanding of ISO/TS16949 procedures

Basic computer skills, including QAD - Inventory management system

Inventory control experience, material handling, and cycle counting experience

Understanding of BOM requirements and processing

Extensive forklift experience

Able and willing to perform some work tasks in
