BluePearl Pet Hospital in Grand Rapids has been the premier specialty and emergency pet hospital serving West Michigan. Our internal medicine team specializes in complex disease processes that are part of the internal organs and body systems of dogs and cats.

BluePearl is looking for a remarkable full-time Veterinary Assistant to support our Internal Medicine team. Experience working in a specialty hospital is not required as we provide comprehensive training for assistants and technicians transitioning from general practice. Duties are, but not limited to:

• Catheter placement and blood draws

• Assist with radiography, GI scope, and CT imaging

• Assist with diagnostics and procedures

• Procedure prep, intubation, and recovery

• Anesthetic monitoring

• Proficient knowledge of patient vital signs

• Provide excellent nursing care to hospitalized patients both stable and critical

• Good client communication skills

• Able to multi-task

• Organized and dependable

• Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Status : Full-Time

Minimum 2 years experience working in a veterinary practice is required

Shift: Daytime hours, rotating schedule between Monday and Friday
