Southland Holdings HR Director in Grapevine, Texas

HR Director

Responsible for the delivery of HR services to Southland Holdings employees, including : HR benefits, on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and internal and external investigations. Ensures effective utilization of HR systems and proper processing of employee status transactions. Works with local management and the rest of the HR team on the effective implementation of programs and policies to attract, develop and retain a high-performing workforce. Serves as a business partner to other department and project leaders. 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Directs activities associated with the procurement, dissemination and processing of various benefit plants.

  • Assists management with new employee on-boarding tasks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Provides direction on all Performance Management processes, including coaching, corrective action and performance evaluation.

  • Partners with company leaders on the fair, appropriate , and consistent resolution of employee concerns.

  • Assists management with timely and accurate processing of employee status transactions (promotions, transfers, salary increases, terminations, etc.)

  • Coaches and works with the HR team on implementation of programs, policies and initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (or appropriate experience).

  • 7 – 10 yrs of Human Resource experience or equivalent, ideally in the construction industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Working knowledge and experience leading full cycle recruitment .

  • Experience in procurement, negotiation, and management of benefit plans

  • Knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations affecting HR functions .

  • Professional demeanor and communications skills, with proven ability to work with employees from all levels of the organization

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a time sensitive, confidential manner within a fast paced, results-oriented environment with minimal supervision

  • Experience with use of Applicant Tracking and HRIS systems

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a team

  • “Roll up your sleeves” attitude with a strong sense of a hands-on approach
