Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: APT, (Negotiable based on experience) Range: 14 Salary: $89,087 to $130,881

Reports to: Director of Curriculum and Personalized Learning

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required: Master s degree (School leadership or administration) Colorado Principal License Three years of successful teaching and a successful leadership internship PRAXIS (passed) Preferred: Bilingual skills in Spanish/English CPI training (Can obtain certification after hire)

JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The art, music, P.E. curriculum coordinator is responsible for providing instructional leadership across subject areas. Position objectives include studying, evaluating, and implementing a research-based curriculum (digital & paper-pencil) and instruction; providing leadership in the development, articulation, and implementation of an instructional program; improving the instructional program by assisting with program evaluation; and assisting in the coordination of relevant staff development. Determining the appropriateness of inclusion of exemplary programs in the district, assisting in the foundation of philosophy & objectives for the instructional programs, guide the development, implementation & evaluation of secondary curriculum and assessment services, work with other directors and site-admin in the improvement of instructional programs, develop budget recommendations, maintain liaison and active participation with educational leaders at state, regional and national levels and work with principals and other staff members in developing exemplary instructional p

Essential Functions Analyze student test data Review and recommend textbooks and other educational materials Coordinate art, music, and P.E. curriculum Observe work of teaching staff to evaluate performance, and to recommend changes that could strengthen teaching skills Recommend teaching techniques and the use of different or new technologies Develop procedures for teachers to implement curriculum Train teachers and other instructional staff in new content or programs Mentor or coach teachers to improve their skills Serves as a resource person in curriculum and instruction across subject areas. Provides leadership to assure the correlation between district curriculum and state/national standards. Develops, coordinates, and monitors the program of instruction for academic programs and oversees updates of the curriculum. Provides input for the Teaching and Learning budget Previews new instructional materials and arranges for piloting by teachers Studies and evaluates new instructional techniques for possible use by classroom teachers Leads and coordinates staff development Assists teaching staff with the implementation of curriculum and instructional materials Stays current in art, music, P.E. through professional readings, seminars, workshops, and conventions Coordinates projects with other curriculum coordinators, program support staff, and administrators Communicates and coordinates in partnership with community groups and organizations Performs other duties as assigned
