Hiring Range: Level II $88,200 - $106,296 Level III $98,800 - $134,464

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for the engineering of electrical and SCADA systems for the City of Greeley Water and Sewer department. The responsibilities will include working with Engineering, OT division and Operations for electrical, instrumentation and controls components planning, project management, designs, and construction of various Water & Sewer facility systems. Projects range in size and complexity from small utility regulator station upgrades to large metering and regulation or compressor station projects. The city is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to support and lead projects and design efforts for water and wastewater treatment plant projects, pump stations, electrical equipment replacements, and SCADA upgrade projects. The engineer in this role will work with project managers, operations staff, consulting lead electrical engineers, designers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure that project quality, budget, and schedule are met.

*This position is a full-time, term-limited position funded for 3 years from the date of hire, with the possibility of becoming permanent if additional funding is approved at a later date. This position is benefit eligible.

Knowledge, Skills:

Minimum Requirements Level II: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT). Three (3) to seven (7) years related experience (completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience) Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) that must have ability to obtain Colorado Professional Engineers license within one year.

Level III: Seven (7) to fifteen (15) years of experience in consulting electrical engineering or related work experience; Licensed Professional electrical Engineer.

All Levels: Experience in the design, construction, and oversight of electricals projects. Application of codes and standards, including NEC, UL508A, NIST, NFPA 820, NFPA 70E, or ISA Experience in electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering design, construction, and commissioning. Proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment. Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Master of Science degree in electrical Engineering, or closely related field. Experience in electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and pipeline facilities such as metering and regulating pressures. Experienced in ETAP and/or SKM software. Advanced knowledge of industrial standards and codes such as AGA, API, PIP ISO, NFPA, NEC, IEEE. Familiar with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower Familiar with AGi32 or Elumtools. Familiar with CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, REVIT, Plant 3D) Familiar with computer maintenance management systems.
