Provides clerical support to the HR department including generating reports, updating census information, updating employee changes in applicable systems, completing employment verifications, etc. Posts available positions on all job boards and social media platforms. Performs identification, selection and interviewing of candidates. Extends job offers and sets up pre-employment testing. Executes new hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, preparing new hire paperwork and completing the new hire checklist. Manages perfect attendance. Assists with employee health and welfare benefits including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes enrollments through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Assists with processing of terminations. Assists with the preparation of the performance review process. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as annual benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings including the population of powerpoint slides for HR, company \"fun events\", and employee recognition such as posting daily on company bulletins, social media, and sending email notifications. Supports special projects as directed. Provides safety support, including translation including translating training materials, assisting with translation during accident investigations, and managing administrative tasks such as processing boot orders and supporting other safety-related projects as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software. Must be willing and able to travel to our other facility located in Aurora, IL, as necessary to support Safety and HR functions.
