JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21472 JOB DUTIES: UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Custodian Lead POSTING DATE: December 16, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Housing and Residential Education department welcomes your application for consideration for a Custodian Lead position. In this important role, you will make an impact on our students, faculty and staff by maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of your designated work area by manually cleaning and maintaining the UW-Green Bay housing and residential facilities. This includes but is not limited to cleaning housing and residential facilities, removing waste and recycling, and monitoring building security to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas. Leads the custodial work of others and responds to custodial emergencies. This position also oversees student staff, administrative duties, inventory, and cleaning. Cleaning includes common areas, occupied and unoccupied student rooms and apartments as well as occasional office spaces, and snow removal and salting of building entrances. This position will be required to drive a State vehicle and travel between work on-campus locations as needed. This position includes the following responsibilities: *Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables. *Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities. *Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed. *Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs. *Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice. *Schedules, monitors, and communicates with staff and assists with basic training. *Responds to facility emergency and hazardous situations, and escalates incidents according to established policies and procedures. *Administrative Duties: Each lead will have primary administrative duties that they will be responsible to manage.
