In this role, you’ll help to drive excellence in Enterprise Distribution and Central Supply Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage all preparation, stocking, and distribution of supplies needed to support patient care throughout the medical center
Supervise staff in distribution center with daily objectives and needs
Central Distribution and Receiving operations performance management
Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
Ensure asset inventory and managed par levels are in alignment with business and financial goals
Execute audits and maintenance activities to sustain appropriate stock levels/rotation and ensure owned inventory is free of expired products and defects
Technology/tools assessment, implementation, and management
Take ownership of the accuracy of asset inventory records
Provide guidance and input into developing and managing budgets
Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with customer departments
Develop strong and collaborative working partnerships with key internal stakeholders including both business partners and support functions (legal, finance and risk)
Support business objectives: revenue growth, risk mitigation, supplier innovation and expense management
Develop strategies that maximize operational efficiencies and cost effectiveness of the entire supply chain
Ensure that all asset inventory and storeroom activities support and are aligned with supply chain strategies
Establish roles/responsibilities with stakeholders
Support/manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and leadership
Understand and drive customer requirements and supply utilization efficiencies
Manage third-party medical supply distributor and Durable Medical Equipment distributing operations
Drive supplier consolidation and leverage spend across the enterprise

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of supply chain operations and distribution work experience
Experience managing teams of 25+ hourly workers assisting with hiring, terminations, reviews, and daily goals
Experience in managing teams that run 24-hour operations
Experience working with executive teams
Solid MS Office work experience
Ability to be on call after hours
Ability to work on-site (Monday – Friday)
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of healthcare supply chain distribution work experience
Previous experience utilizing WorkDay procure-to-pay and contracting modules (or similar procurement systems)
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills
California Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
