As an Engineer within the Raymond Maintenance team, you will play a vital role in maximizing the efficiency and reliability of our equipment, enabling Raymond to achieve safety, quality and production goals of its Business Plan. We continue to invest in modern machinery, automation, and robotic technologies. You will be exposed to philosophies which align with the Toyota Production system and incorporate techniques for effective equipment Preventive, Proactive and Predictive Maintenance strategies, influencing the direction of this technology within our company.

About the position:

As a Maintenance Engineer in our team, you will be involved in a variety of projects which will have a significant impact on the operation of our company. The following is an example of the types of roles and responsibilities for the position.

  • Machine downtime incident event Root Cause / Corrective Action (RCCA) coordinator - work with supporting groups on assigning and documenting Downtime (DT) incident RC.
  • Identify weakpoint of DT events utilizing Toyota Production Systems (TPS) methodology. Develop mitigation recommendations.
  • Maintenance team liaison with various cross-functional group projects, decreasing downtime on critical machines.
  • Develop recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering on equipment design modifications to enhance safety, performance and reliability.

  • Lead or engage in said modifications as appropriate.

  • Work with and assist as necessary stockroom leader to ensure availability of spare parts to contribute toward minimizing duration of downtime – Mean Time To Repair metric (MTTR).
  • Investigate / recommend / lead activities to promote increased in-house machine repair capabilities processes to decrease reliance on external vendors.
  • Identify Equipment obsolescence parts / software compatibility issues and coordinate with support groups and equipment vendors as required to drive proactive system upgrade plans.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and equipment vendors to obtain documentation for parts on older equipment.
  • May travel periodically domestically and/or internationally.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 1+ year of experience.
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering with a focus on data analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within the team and with other departments.
  • Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety regulations.
  • Well-organized, with a strong ability to document and present findings effectively.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, innovation and dependability.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $72,000 - $106,000 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
