North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State Unive Lecturer, Health Services Administration in Greensboro, North Carolina

Description:

This is a full-time non-tenure track faculty position with teaching responsibilities in a wide range of health services administration courses. The position is also expected to participate in the continued development of the health services administration program including recruitment, identifying internship opportunities, developing course syllabi, student handbook and other relevant documents. Additional responsibilities include: a) serving as an academic advisor, b) serving on academic or administrative committees, and c) keeping abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in professional organizations and conferences.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:

The mission of the Health Services Administration program is to orient students to the various career opportunities that require application of healthcare, management, technology, and data analysis skills and knowledge. This will be accomplished through appropriate course work; clinical, management and technology applications; research and data analysis projects, and, internship experiences. The program seeks to instill core values of excellence, integrity, discovery, and lifelong learning. The Health Services Administration Program is within the School of Nursing and Health Services.

Requirements:

This applicant must have a master’s degree in the health services administration or a related field.

Preferred:

The preferred candidate will have a PhD in Health Services Administration or a related field; 3 years of years of teaching experience; and a demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships across disciplines and with external health care organizations
