Senior Procurement Analyst – Indirect Procurement

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Senior Procurement Analyst- Indirect Procurement at VF looks a little like this.

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate multiple IT-category sourcing projects.

  • Evaluate opportunities for category to ensure that the desired business results are achieved based on best total value (savings, quality, delivery, etc.).

  • Work in parallel with the VF business coalitions in multiple regions of the world to provide strategic direction to subject matter experts (SME’s), while aligning the indirect procurement activities within VF to recognized procurement best practices.

  • Compile, analyze and present data.

  • Serve as the team resource for all compiled coalition data.

  • Present data in a manner from which accurate conclusions and appropriate decisions concerning the category strategy can be made.

  • Construct process templates for tracking results, compliance and savings for each coalition (financial, compliance, market basket, RFx, savings model, other).

  • Analyze, review and finalize sourcing decisions based on RFx process outcomes, and negotiate regional/national/global agreements to ensure that the selection of suppliers meets all of VF’s requirements as determined by coalition SME’s.

  • Manage and track VF corporate contracts with suppliers.

  • Serve as liaison between the legal department and suppliers to speed the agreement process, protect the best interests of VF, and ensure successful and timely contract completion.

  • Follow up routinely to the accuracy, direction and completion of project objectives with business owners to ensure process efficiency.

  • Maintain open lines of communication will all concerned parties related to sourcing activities.

  • Continuously develop procurement skills and knowledge of supply base through research, due diligence, training, bench-marking and other means.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3Educational/Position Requirements:

  • Minimum BS Degree

  • 1-3 years of Previous Procurement experience preferred, or 2-5 years related work experience

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong math skills

  • Must be analytical and able to draw conclusions and make decisions with sometimes limited data

  • Self-starting – proactively pursues courses of action when opportunities present themselves without prompting from others

  • Strong follow through to ensure all elements of a project are in place and functioning properly during and after implementation

  • Must be results oriented

  • Able to project authority in group settings

  • Strong presentation skills preferred

  • Contract negotiations experience desirable (knowledge of legal terms/concepts is a plus)

  • Prior project management background, IT background (technical & operational), and/or research are a plus

  • Experience working with or maintaining processes related to P2P systems, ERP systems, etc. is a plus

Hiring Range :

$72,000.00 USD - $90,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
