Manufacturing Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift - Sunday Night - Thursday Night - 10:30pm - 7:00am

Purpose of Job:

Responsible for the daily supervision and training of the packaging personnel to support the production of commercial products. Also, responsible for overseeing the warehouse, gamma and bulk departments on 3rd shift.

Key Activities:

  • Responsible for effective leadership of assigned operations team which includes ensuring: the safety of team members and the operation, cGMP’s are followed, production SOP’s are upheld, and production schedules are met.

  • Reviews daily production schedule and priorities to determine assignments and critical actions required to support production.

  • Reviews all component requirements required to support shift and any off-shift needs for the day.

  • Provides on the floor training to support the day to day production and cGMPs. Checks that operator training files match and support the processes they are required to carry out.

  • Works with QA and Subject Matter Expert to resolve exceptions.

  • Reviews SOPs.

  • Responsible for counseling colleagues to assure proper development for their success, supporting all colleagues to ensure they each reach their full potential, and to provide corrective action when necessary.

  • Provides supervision primarily to non-exempt employees in the packaging, gamma, bulk and warehouse departments

  • Supervise Direct Reports - Yes

Scope of Position:

Effectively supervise the employees responsible for all aspects of the packaging department. Includes oversight of day to day activities in gamma, warehouse and bulk as well as personnel management and development

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience in a regulated industry with automated packaging experience required.

  • BS/BA Degree, prefer Technical degree

  • Prefer experience in a FDA regulated industry

  • Advance problem solving such as Six Sigma and Lean training
