Job Purpose

Reports to Films Asset Manager. Provide technical and operational support to the Films manufacturing process to ensure continual improvements in process capability, quality and productivity. Working in a team-based environment, the position will also be responsible for supporting knowledge and skill development of the operation personnel, coordinating significant downtime events and process upgrades, capital plan scope definition, safety improvements, new process development and product commercialization.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide technical and daily operational support to the Films Manufacturing process

  • Monitor daily details of line performance and overall capability – Production yields, quality.

  • Trend analysis of key performance metrics to identify medium and long-term improvement opportunities.

  • Provide daily technical troubleshooting support and continual, strategic improvement projects.

  • On-call availability to support production needs in a 24/7 operation

  • Process SOC development and optimization for new and existing products

  • Support new process and product development trials

  • Provide assistance to other team members to resolve issues and realize improvement.

  • Work toward developing knowledge as the process expert for the film line

  • Other responsibilities, as assigned by manager.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline required

  • 2 years of Engineering experience

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Willingness to provide off-hour support as needed

  • Good troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with Films processing and Films processing equipment preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment with all levels within the company.

  • Efficient at data analysis; Statistical approach to problem-solving

  • Lean/Six-Sigma experience a plus

  • Winding/Slitting/Converting experience a plus.

Skills & Certifications

  • Academic degree in a related field (e.g., supply chain management, engineering, STEM, etc.)

  • Proficient in MS Office, spend analytics tools, e-sourcing platforms, project management and effective presentations

  • Business fluent in English

  • Good decision making, prone to strategic thinking

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders from varied backgrounds

  • Ownership-oriented approach in the professional environment

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $65,000- $98,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
