Responsibilities

Valle Vista Health System is a 132-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful community of Greenwood, IN. Valle Vista Health System features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Valle Vista Health System. Valle Vista Health System is proud to be a teaching facility that supports local nursing students through our dedicated and tenured nursing team.

    Qualifications

    Intake Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

  • Current license to practice nursing in State of Indiana/Valle Vista Health System (or eligible to receive or renew).

  • Current CPR or BLS certification

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Intake RN is responsible for the facilitation of requests for services, resource referral, assessment of patient/family clinical needs, and interfaces with managed care organizations, external reviewers, and other payors.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the state of Indiana.

    Experience: Minimum of two years experience in direct clinical experience in a psychiatric/mental health/chemical dependency setting.

    Additional Requirements: Experience in patient assessment, referral, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities. Completion of CPR course and completion of HANDLE WITH CARE within 90 days of employment. Thorough knowledge of TJC, HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.
