Jacobs Electrical Engineer in Greenwood Village, Colorado

As an Electrical Engineer in Greenwood Village, you’ll leverage your people management skills to help your team members discover what drives them and guide them forward. You’ll be providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design team. Our skills include power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, vertical transportation and construction coordination.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• At least 7 years of experience working for a MEP firm
• Motivated and self-starter/pays attention to detail and willing to multi-task on different project teams
• Experience preparing Electrical design drawings and coordinating with other disciplines and multi-office teams
• Strong understanding of NEC
• Strong commitment to quality of deliverables
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management
• Ability to mentor junior staff
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision
• Understanding and experience in electrical system studies such as arc flash, short circuit, load flow analyses
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Ideally You’ll Also Have:
Master’s Degree
Working knowledge of NFPA70E, NFPA 820
Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu
Experience sizing and designing power systems using UPSs
Experience in lighting software AGI 32 or Visual for preparing lighting designs
Experience in electrical system studies software SKM/ETAP
Field investigation and inspection
Water/Wastewater experience
