Description
Robert Half is partnering with a growing company in the Denver area on an Entry-Level Financial Reporting Accountant.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, familiarity with SEC filings such as 10-K and 10-Q reports, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career to grow within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and Review of Financial Reports: Assist in preparing quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all reports comply with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during reporting cycles.
Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., tax, treasury, and operations) to gather relevant financial information for reporting.
Documentation: Maintain organized records and documentation to support audit requests and internal reviews.
Process Improvement: Participate in enhancing financial reporting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Ad Hoc Projects: Support special projects, including research on new accounting standards or regulatory updates.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience: Internship or 1+ year of experience in financial reporting or public accounting; familiarity with 10-K and 10-Q preparation is required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial reporting software is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward CPA certification or willingness to pursue CPA
