Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT, REGIONAL SUPPORT GROUP GROTON CT of REGIONAL SUPPORT GROUP, GROTON. Responsibilities You will formulate budgets and provide estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will monitor fiscal year and quarterly limitations on apportionments and obligations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary, and other financial information and prepare summaries to be used by managers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing DON Accounting programs to include the operational control of the Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Payroll, and Travel. Experience performing duties of a Financial Management Analyst including accounting, budget, and other related financial management work. Experience utilizing in-depth comprehensive, detailed knowledge and understanding of budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing more than basic knowledge of financial studies in accounting functions. Experience determining compliance with generally accepted financial principles and standards and identify minor problems. Experience conducting limited financial reviews. Experience assisting in the correction of internal control and reporting weaknesses.
