Intel Validation and Test Automation Engineer Student worker in Guadalajara, Mexico

Job Description

We're looking for highly motivated individuals interested to pursue a career in validation and DevOps.

A successful candidate will join a global team of engineers as Student worker, participate in final validation of large Software Development toolset, broaden their knowledge in validation infrastructure stack, software release process and developer tools ecosystem, and sharpen their debugging, problem solving, automation and coding expertise.

The responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Execution of validation pipelines, monitoring of pipeline progress.

  • Analysis of results from various tests.

  • Test automation and integration in CI/CD pipeline.

  • Test support.

  • Manual execution of test scenarios and test cases that are not in pipeline yet.

  • Preparation of validation reports.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral trait:

  • Willing to investigate and solve complex issues, also to work in multitask environment with deadlines.

  • Advanced logical thinking skills, willing to identify facts, issue and check hypothesis.

  • Advanced communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications,

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:

  • You need to be a student in Computer Science or similar field, at least 2 years remaining as an active student.

  • 6+ months of experience working with Python and Linux.

  • 6+ months of experience working with Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Computer Science and programming.

  • 6+ working with algorithmizing.

  • 3+ months of experience working with Container technologies.

  • Intermediate to advanced English level.

  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.

Preferred qualifications,

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:

  • Knowledge of software test methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration systems (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).

  • Knowledge of C/C++.

  • Knowledge of Visual Studio Code.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
