Quality Engineer (Job Number: 212867W-01)




  • The qualityengineer is responsible for interfacing with multiple organizationsincluding suppliers, internal partners, and customers to leadmulti-disciplinary improvement teams.

  • The qualityengineer is responsible for quality management system improvement,customer satisfaction, quality related aspects of supplier and contractmanufacturer relationship, implementing corrective and preventive action,drive continuous quality improvement across functions.

Quality Management System

  • Implement QMSimprovement actions through corrective and preventive action projects.

  • Establish QMSprocedures and systems to identify and prevent potential quality failuremodes and prevent quality incidents.

  • Utilize systemsskills to develop statistical process control methods, visualization ofprocess data, product release systems consistent with customerexpectations.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Understands andreviews customer requirements, implement product / process design orquality assurance release process improvements to eliminate the root causeof quality problems.

  • Communicate withcustomers as needed to assure adequate customer complaint resolutionactions are in place. Lead improvement project teams to develop solutions.

  • Leadscross-functional teams to establish root cause and solve customercomplaints at a systemic level to prevent recurrence. Documents, trainsand implements improvements with operations.

  • Analyzes ongoingquality performance of product and process data, summarizes performancefor periodic process capability review by leadership, reviews customercomplaint data to provide early identification of customer satisfactionpatterns.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive site qualitycontinuous improvements using KPI as agreed with business leadership.

  • Drive improvementand audit implementation in all relevant areas and functions

  • Partner with siteimprovement resources to improve quality performance metrics, resolveaudit findings, and customer satisfaction.

  • Support problemsolving, the quality improvement process, and effective corrective andpreventive actions

  • Ensure effectiveknowledge management by use of appropriate systems

  • Support BUbusiness process improvements which lead to improving quality performance(e.g. New Product introduction, complaint tracking, business levelmetrics, DPS implementation and supply chain management improvements)


1. Education: Chemistry or relevant Engineering Bachelor and above

2. Working experience:

- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing quality assurance and customer complaint resolution. Experience in supplier quality management and QMS is plus.

- Experience in chemical or material manufacturing industry is preferred.

3. Language: Good English speaking & writing

  1. Leadership or functionalcompetency:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skill, logical thinking, analytical and hands on problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO900, IATF16949 and audit experience

- Relevant to site with core tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, MSA, SPC, DOE, ANOVA, APQP/PPAP, 8D & LEAN.

  1. Others: Six Sigma Green beltpreferred, Black belt is plus
