Job Description: As a Pest Control Technician, you will be trained to provide expert oversight of our pest control program managed by an outsourced company. You will assist in identifying pest control opportunities, provide actionable recommendations, and ensure all work orders and initiatives are tracked and executed efficiently. This role requires strict adherence to site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and oversee the pest control program executed by an outsourced company.

  • Identify and assess pest control opportunities and provide expert recommendations.

  • Track and manage work orders related to pest control initiatives.

  • Execute pest control work orders and initiatives as required.

  • Ensure compliance with site SOPs, GMP, and EHS requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of pest control activities and findings.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure pest control measures are effective.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to optimize pest control strategies.

  • Provide training and guidance on pest control best practices to staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in pest control or related field is a plus.

  • Associate degree in technical field is preferred.

  • Prior experience in pest control or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using pest control management software and tools.

  • Knowledge of SOPs, GMP, and EHS requirements is a plus.

  • Valid pest control certification/license is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification if necessary.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipment's, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
